CALL TO WORSHIP

Anthony Gee talked about how we have a God who's love never fails us.  Throughout the Psalms we see that God's love for us is steadfast, sometimes it seems that God's love is failing us, but really it's the world, or some idol of ours failing, because God never fails.

We prayed for Church of The Resurrection, we thanked God for a church that focuses on the power of the resurrection, and we prayed that through Pastor Bob, people would believe in the power and truth of the resurrection that morning.
SERMON

Jay Reitz ||Psalm 23:1-6

LISTEN TO SERMON

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,  he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[aI will fear no evil, for you are with me;your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." -Psalm 23

COMMUNION & RESPONSE

Each week we respond to the truth of God's word in four ways.

Communion:

On the night that Jesus was arrested he broke bread and drank wine with his disciples symbolizing the body that was broken and the blood that was poured out on the cross. Take the time to remember that Jesus died for the sins of those who would trust in him.

BENEDICTION

May we, having been blessed by God and called his people, go and be a blessing to the city of Flagstaff, living as first fruits of the Kingdom of God for God's glory. Amen.

REFLECTION QUESTION

Often we seek comfort above all else.  What areas of our life should we trust God, the Holy Spirit as the comforter, and stop fighting for our own kingdom of comfort?
