CALL TO WORSHIP

In our society, everyone struggles to be heard and longs to be known.  The easiest way to to this is to shout, but our first song calls us to "come and listen."  Proverbs 2:1-5 puts it like this: "My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God."Let our hearts be inclined to search for wisdom and understanding by coming and listening to the truth, to the promises of God, and being inspired by the early church in Acts.  Let us know in our stillness what it feels like to be known by God.

 ASSURANCE OF GRACE

Lord, I Need You

Greeting Time and Announcements:

Each week we pray for another local church in town because we believe we are not the gospel answer to Flagstaff but that God is using all his Christian churches to redeem the city. This week we prayed for IF gathering, that it would be an event to draw the women of Flagstaff together and help the church in Flagstaff to look more like the early church.

COMMUNION & RESPONSE

Each week we respond to the truth of God’s word in four ways.

COMMUNION:

On the night that Jesus was arrested he broke bread and drank wine with his disciples symbolizing the body that was broken and the blood that was poured out on the cross. Take the time to remember that Jesus died for the sins of those who would trust in him.

SINGING:
