ASSURANCE OF GRACE

Greeting Time and Announcements:

Each week we pray for another local church in town because we believe we are not the gospel answer to Flagstaff but that God is using all his Christian churches to redeem the city. This week, we prayed for Mountaintop Assembly of God who recently held a baptismal service. We celebrated with them and petitioned God to be evident and active as four of their church members move forward from their public proclamations of faith and into new life.

COMMUNION & RESPONSE

Each week we respond to the truth of God’s word in four ways.

COMMUNION:

On the night that Jesus was arrested He broke bread and drank wine with His disciples symbolizing His body that was broken and the blood that was poured out on the cross. Take some time to remember that Jesus died for the sins of those who would trust in Him.

BENEDICTION:

Phillipians 2:1-5So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

Do we ask God for too much or not enough?

How does our collective and individual sin of consumption hurt those who are vulnerable and what can we do to share that which has been freely given to us by God?
