SUNDAY LITURGY RECAP

Welcome to our Sunday Recap. If you missed our service this Sunday or are just looking for another expression of our corporate worship, scroll through this post and click the links for each element. Participate freely and worship a worthy God.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Anthony Gee talked about how the line "sloppy wet kiss" in "How He Loves" is about a father caring for and loving us.  And when we think about it through the lens of an intimate loving father, that line isn't so awkward or bad.  So we should sing to this good, loving, and great father.

 ASSURANCE OF GRACE

Great Are You Lord

Greeting Time and Announcements:

Each week we pray for another local church in town because we believe we are not the gospel answer to Flagstaff but that God is using all his Christian churches to redeem the city. This week we prayed for The Commons Church. They need a new space for their middle school, and some of their high school students are struggling with depression issues.  They would love continued interest in commitment to community groups.  And finally, they asked for prayer that those hurt by the church would be brought in to their church for healing and renewing.

COMMUNION & RESPONSE

Each week we respond to the truth of God’s word in four ways.

COMMUNION:

On the night that Jesus was arrested he broke bread and drank wine with his disciples symbolizing the body that was broken and the blood that was poured out on the cross. Take the time to remember that Jesus died for the sins of those who would trust in him.

SINGING:

BENEDICTION

May we, having been blessed by God and called his people, go and be a blessing to the city of Flagstaff, living as first fruits of the Kingdom of God for God’s glory. Amen.

REFLECTION QUESTION

Are there any ways your external righteousness covers up your hidden sins?  What is God calling you to do with your resources?
